Job Description
Our client needs an experienced corrosion engineering/materials specialist for their S. Louisiana central chemical plant complex. The corrosion engineer supports the various operating units in helping select materials both metallic and non-metallic for their process chemical manufacturing. They are one of the leaders in manufacturing and managing highly reactive chemicals and catalysts. Will be responsible for material failure analyses using tools including NDT and Lab/Analytical tests. Key background for success will be:
1) Chemical, Petrochemical, or refining operating plant experience
2) Wet Chemistry background - ability to identify, predict and slow or prevent chemical attack/corrosion
3) Wet Chemistry Lab Testing/Coupon testing

Technical degrees preferred include either Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or Chemical Engineering
